South Florida is tops in the Sunshine State for drops in auto-related personal injury claims over the past four years, regulators said.
The area's frequency of personal injury claims dipped from just over 3.5 per 100 vehicles in the first quarter of 2010 to just under 2.5 in 100 vehicles in the first quarter of 2014, according to a report from the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation.
Tampa/St. Petersburg also reported strong drops in personal injury claims, moving from about 2.75 per 100 vehicles to just over 2.0 per 100 vehicles during the same period. Read more...
